This Encore is one of the best paddle paddles you can get in 2023, it’s lightweight and very solid. In our opinion, this is the best paddle for control and power and has one of the best sweet spots we’ve ever tested.
In our testing, the paddle worked great for power, with a wide sweet spot that gave us tons of control over the ball. It also allowed us to hit the ball with a lot of force and still not feel like it was going right through it.
So in these factors, this is one of the best paddles on the market, and it’s a good value. We love how comfortable it is in your hands, and its durability makes it one of the best for power and control.

Engage Encore Pro Paddle Features and Key Differences
We received the Encore Pro Pickleball Paddle from Engage for review. This paddle was previously owned by two very successful professional pickleball players: Marcin Rozpedski and Jorge Marshall. Both Marcin and Brian are known for their excellent power and control, and they used the Encore Pro in their quest for National Title.
The Encore Pro is a very large pickleball paddle that has a nice weight to it. It feels solid in the hand and I would call it very comfortable. It’s definitely not flimsy at all, which is exactly what you want. This helps with accuracy and helps get your shots in the right position. It is designed to be easy to hold and move around.
While playing with this paddle we consider and highlight some of the features that Engage offer to us.
Delicate Texture
The Encore Pro is extremely versatile. It is a heavy-hitting, yet powerful paddle. But with the large sweet spot, it is also capable of a soft, delicate touch. The paddles are very smooth and easy to learn how to use.
Design

The Encore Pro is designed to maximize the ability to control the ball. With the V-shape, the overall feel of the paddle, and the added weight, you can be sure that you will be able to control the ball. It is very easy to get a great hit, and with the added weight, the paddle will not move during play.
I know Marcin and Jorge Marshall had their paddles for a while and this one did not let them down at all. This is a well-built paddle that will last you years.
Flexible Paddle
One of the things that I really like about the Encore Pro is the overall feel of the paddle. The paddle is not flimsy at all. You do not notice it flexing at all. It also feels very comfortable in your hand. This makes the perfect for those who do not want to feel like they are holding a board.
Materials

Unlike other pickleball paddles, this has a hybrid construction made from fiberglass and titanium, which makes it extremely durable and also gives it a nice, light feel on your hand.
Size
When you combine the weight and the large sweet spot, this creates a paddle that is great for both the hard-hitting and soft-hitting styles of pickleball. I am not talking about the differences in how people play pickleball, I am simply talking about the size and shape of the paddle. As a hard-hitting player, the Encore Pro felt great.
Spining the Ball
For the soft-hitting style, the Encore Pro paddle does an amazing job. With the large sweet spot and the extra weight, the soft hitting feels natural and you feel like you can actually put a lot of spin on the ball. This creates a ball that is very easy to place.
Easy to Hold
I am not a pickleball expert by any means, but the paddle felt intuitive to use right out of the box. The paddle has a very firm feel to it, and it does not compress easily. This adds to the stability and easily holds the paddle. This also allows the paddle to absorb the impact of the ball rather than feeling like a sponge, which would not allow for a good response.
What We Like About the Encore Pro Pickleball Paddle
I feel like the paddle is a big improvement over the previous Engage models. I found the previously engage paddles to be very difficult to get the right balance of power and control. The new Encore Pro models fix that issue. The paddles are lighter and the balance is perfect.
The paddle also has the option of a grip. This makes the paddle even more versatile, as you can switch grips on the fly and make adjustments.
I think that Engage has done a great job with the new Encore Pro models. The new paddles are more stable and lighter than the previous model.
What We Don’t Like About the Encore Pro Pickleball Paddle
When we played with this paddle, we also noticed and disliked some things that needs to be improved. What is all of them?
One is that it doesn’t seem to be well-designed for some players. It seems like there is too much space between the ball and the players, making it difficult to control for beginners where it’s going.
Another issue is that there’s not enough variety in the ruleset – many of which feel very similar to other games in the ENGAGE series.
